Becoming a parent is a transformative experience, but it can also be challenging, especially when faced with pregnancy loss, difficult decisions or birth trauma. While much of the focus is often on mothers, partners also need and deserve understanding. At Talkthru, we offer dedicated help for partners, recognising the unique challenges you may face, both in processing your own emotions and in supporting your partner through difficult times.

Support for partners

As a partner and parent, you may feel the pressure to stay strong and hold everything together, but it’s essential to acknowledge your own feelings and seek help when you need it. Whether you’re dealing with the grief of pregnancy loss, the stress of making tough decisions, or the trauma of a difficult birth experience, Talkthru is here to help.

Confidential and non-judgmental support

Our counselling services are confidential, providing  a safe and private space to express your feelings without fear of judgment. Whether you’re struggling with grief, anxiety, guilt, or anger, our counsellors are here to listen to you with compassion and understanding.

Supporting your partner

In addition to caring for your own wellbeing, you may also feel the responsibility of coming alongside your partner through difficult experiences like pregnancy loss, pregnancy decisions or birth trauma. While this can be a challenging role, you don’t have to do it alone.

Supporting a partner who is grieving or struggling can be overwhelming. You may not always know what to say or do, but your presence and willingness to listen can make a huge difference. Our counselling services include guidance on how to help your partner effectively, helping you understand what she might be going through and how you can best offer your love and care.

Please complete our self-referral form, and one of our team members will reach out to you soon. We’re here to support you and your partner.
